I've just bought one of these, same frame same colour, same model. In 18"
Already stripped, going to clean and rebuild along the same vein as yours, XC full suspension style.

They are definitely rare - I've not seen another for sale and I've been keeping my eyes open for a year. Mine was a lucky find on FB Marketplace, badly labelled and for sale for £30, complete bike.
I think it may have been brought into the country by the family I bought it from, rather than originally being sold here.

I've found a uk catalogue from 2000, this was the entry level full suspension bike for that year. So it definitely was sold in the UK.
