Gorgeous.High end Benotto frames of this era are top class and somewhat underated.I raced one in the early 80's,I ordered it through Mark Edwards (brother of Phil Edwards,Moser's 'right hand man') at Caratti Sport.My one was reputedly made in Italy,not Mexico which could be true as it came wrapped in hugh amounts of Italian newspaper.Naturally mine was finished in the ubiquitous champagne with blue graphics colour scheme,complete with chrome forks and R/H chainstay.There does seem to be a connection between Benotto and DeRosa as my frame was built with DeRosa diamond chainstays,B/BKT shell and lugs.Anyway an awesome frame that handled superbly,and on which i did many hard race miles,wish I still had it.

This also has the diamond shape chainstays,and the bb shell has the heart shape cut-out
This could well be a de-rosa built frame for benotto.
I agree with you on the ride.It is awesome,responsive/comfortable and fast.
I also take it for long summer outings myself
