I bought this bike off ebay in the autumn for my girlfriend. She was happy with the size, but complained it was too heavy  :?
I'd upgraded it to a reasonable standard, with a mix of XT and LX, and while I didn't weigh it, it can't have been more than about 25lbs.

It sat unloved for the winter while I accumulated more bikes and parts
Spring rolled around and I decided that since it isn't being used, I'd make it mine :D She can still ride it when she wants to though...

I've built it with parts I'd gathered for other builds, that have taken a back seat while I wait on my money being mine again
I had everything I needed except the singlespeed kit, which was £20 off the bay.
My Mum has the same bike, but bigger. This one had the curved forks while my Mum's had straight blades, so I swapped them and my Mum is none the wiser ;)

I've had a quick ride on it today, feels light and quick :D Not sure about the tires though, they look like they'll get plenty of punctures :?

heavy? dont think i have ever known a dale to be heavy, they are light no matter what!

Cheers guys :D
I've weighed it on my bathroom scales and it's just below 22lbs. I thought it might be lighter, the bb on it must be made from lead

Don't be giving our lass ideas, she needs to eat less for breakfast, not more

I don't think 22 lbs. is heavy for a Delta V frame with the headshok. My rigid M600 is a bit over 20 lbs. and I don't have any suspension or the extra tubing like the V frame!
