now as you can see the parts are clean - the bike is straight - there are more bits that i could do ! but this is a survivor and has only had a wash and a bit of a polish/buff + a couple of bits added

so what do you think ?

It may be up for sale as money is needed at the mo - but I'm undecided as i've only had it three days and i also have another as a daily rider :?!:

cheers B ;)

good work .

I am watching a Burner frame on ebay at the moment local to me .

I would not mind a BMX project .

Top work there, credit on bringing that survivor back to its former glory...

took it all apart - washed first in fairy liquid or car shampoo just to get some of the dirt and grease off - then in turtle wax bug & tar ~ this is what gets it the cleanest as is has a degreaser and and a soft polish - i love the stuff and helps get every thing better - then a wash in cold water to get it all off - left to dry over night in airing cupboard, then just some house hold furniture polish to bring it up ;)

peek on the chrome

if you clean some thing well - it will show better - it a bit of dirt/ grease is left, the eye will pick it up ;)

You've done a top job there. Looks really good

Always wanted one of these when I was younger. Is amazing how it's in such good condition after all these years. A credit to Raleigh and yourself for bringing it back to it's former glory. Gd Work

Peek is amazing stuff on chrome!

Re:

Hello,

I hope you don't mind me writing to you. I work for a documentary company called Testimony Films. We are currently making a new documentary for BBC4 about the Raleigh Bicycle Company.

As part of the programme we are featuring Raleigh's role in the BMX scene which took 1980s Britain by storm. BMX star Andy Ruffell has agreed to be interviewed for the programme in London, and in addition to this we would love to get him back on a Raleigh Burner bike similar to those he used to ride for team Raleigh.

I was wondering if you still had your Raleigh Burner and if you might be willing to allow Andy to ride it for a short sequence in our film. We would of course pay you a fee for its use and any travel expenses involved.

I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have about the company I work for and the programme we are making. My email is pete.vance@testimonyfilms.com.

Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you.

Best Wishes,
Pete Vance
