Project: Snowflake Wheel Build (step-by-step)

Build is coming along nicely, I might pop over if your not busy at the weekend.

just waiting on other bits from FleaBay at the moment!
 
Great write up and thanks for sharing it. I've built plenty of 3 cross wheels but never had the know how to build a snowflake.
It's now on the list of things to do though. :cool:

I line up each spoke up with the 'next hole around' in the rim as a starting point but essentially it's just by sight. It's an amazing thing, the old 'eyecromoter'...

But a question, regarding snow flake wheels, is there any technical advantage over other styles or is it just cosmetic ?

snowflake wheels...Im welling up..I can remember asking a cycleshop to do my front one like this and they told me it wasnt suitable for my build .. :roll:
