1998 Bontrager Privateer S - * FINISHED PHOTOS Page 2 *

thanks for all the comments guys I am really happy with it!

I had forgotten how rattly and squealy those 1st gen XT Vs can be though, might have to re-think them at some point if I can find some equally nice and shiny replacements.

All in it's been a bit of a bargain too, I paid about as much as you would want to reasonably pay for the frame but spent my time bargain hunting for the finishing bits and a good chunk of the bits were new instead of second hand so I'm well chuffed :)

Really cool Bonty :D
This is the reason why I want to make my Privateer into a single speed
Really good job.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

thanks Coomber, still haven't cleaned it after the last mudfest though :-(

couple of updated pics from last summer, hasn't changed much since then but is now sporting a pair of Middleburn RS7s with an UNO ring and beenn using a Spinergy SPOX front wheel on and off in place of the WI one, it's a bit more comfy and has a ceramic rim so been better for the winter.

I'll get some current pics up once I've cleaned it...

I love it. Had to search for it last night when I was bored. Giving me some ideas for my poor man's bonty (rock lobster).
