Exage Mountain pedals

i've not done it but i suspect there is a cover over the end of the axle (furthest away from the crank end. if there is then take the cage off the pedal, pop the cover off the end. undo the bolt and cone, loose all your bearings, clean grease new bearings and rebuild.

There is a pop off cover but I can't remember if the cage comes off though, it maybe riveted on. There is a set on my brother old Dawes Kickback that is in my dads shed.

Carl.

Ok had a closer inspection of the pedal. The cage is riveted on. There is a pressed in plastic cap which I've managed to remove :D

Hopefully I'll have an easy job tomorrow on the rebuild.

I doff my cap to you for rebuilding a pedal that many people are too snobbish to even own.

Vastly underrated, was Exage.

Got the pedals apart Was a nice easy Saturday morning job to do :)

The pedal has 24 bearings 13 on the side of the large cone.
