And today I did......

student -edinburgh
enough for a good weekend or a t in the park ticket

ooh £140 my guess

Thing I dont get is he sold on that manitou looky likey bike that he'd disabled the rear suspension on then sold it on saying the rear was too rigid and it was causing back pain. He then gets really excited about buying one of the stiffest XC bikes of the past which also sounds like its a wee bit big. I've ridden an M400 and they lack somewhat in flex but they do accelerate bloody quick and bunny hop with ease. Only time will tell if the eastern beast bites

Well.............

I think the Balance (that manitou susser thing) was just too small, 17"
I think thats what put my back out

I am just back in from a modest 13mile bimble up The woods, out to the airport along the river Almond, and back along woods and the edinburgh cycle network.
NAE ACHES !!!!  :D :D :D :D

Loving the Beast so thats staying! ;)

Just need some decent Retro tyres and a slightly shorter/taller stem,
other than that I'm truly in love with it.

Oh and the two of you are almost right, I hit the young lass at £120

Shoulda/coulda got it for a ton , but she was needing the money
Just as well that bit of my brain that makes you feel guilty/sympathetic was removed when I started in the motor trade ;)

Thats me had 3 months off now, getting bored so think I might start looking for a job
