WTD: kirk precision road bike frame

once the kirk mtb is complete, i will post a pic on the site.
i have mailed some pic's of the frame and forks to scant so, if you are interested, he should be able to forward them.
i think it was 1 tonne of seawater, from memory.
quite a few urban myths surrounding the kirk frames, like major flexing and frame cracking etc.
they don't suffer from either, but the major issue was failure of the bonding where alloy shims were inserted into the head-tube, seat-tube and bottom bracket.
i have an original catalogue from 1990, which i could scan and post on the site.

Gawd I remember those. Werent they really heavy though? Great looking industrial bikes but as you said they did have a bad rep for various reasons...
