R My Wheels 27" or 700CC ??

Hi,

Quick question, how do I know if my wheels are 27" or 700CC?

They have no markings but are fitted with 700X20 CC tyres. Tyres fit Ok but tubes seem a little bit too big for the wheels.

Only reason I'm asking is because I'm going to sell them on ebay.

Wheels are from 80's reynolds 531 bike.

If they're fitted with 700c tyres - presumably so marked - then they're 700c wheels.

27" tyres would be to big and would fall off.

But you could have 27" inner tubes - but these should be marked somewhere as well.

So 27" are bigger than 700C?

The diameter of 27" is a bit bigger than 700c, yes.

700c rims are 622mm outer diameter and often referred to as 28inch where 27inch are 630mm diameter, makes zero sense but thats bikes for you
