I think it was it Onza Rip and Rail or did those come later?

later & they were rubbish. side knobs literally tore off the carcus from normal use.

I RIP-ed a huge chunk off a RAIL at the top of a Munro in 1995!

Patched the hole up by wrapping the trusty piece of rag I carry round the inner tube - I still wrap my spare inner tube in a piece of rag large enough to repeat such a repair

I never had any problems with the rip and rail set up. Not the fastest rolling tyres ever made, but the front cornered really well :)

Onza:
Rip and Rail,
Dan and Dave
Agrro and Honch

If the rip and rails stayed together, these where the best tyres offroad I have ever used. However, with the height and butressing of the knobs, some batches were prone to tearing. Would still love some if anyone has some!

good luck with the unna-gumma search. . . one skid when you were cut up by a mini-cab and they were through to the canvas. . :(
