My Cove Hummer cost £40 - It was bead blasted but I liked the highly polished look.

As I understand it, Xizangs were actually ball-burnished, see this link for a better definition than I can give.

Been polishing my ti frame with Autosol, my arm is killing! It is in a sling tho luckily I ran out of polish before I could do any more, I've only done the downtube and headtube. Still, it looks cracking now! The rest still looks dull

I'm pretty sure most Ti frames now are generally double pass welded. Welded once to get it done and once to get it pretty. The beautiful Marin Ti was (I think) welded with a single pass. Here is a good link.

Must admit the welds on my Vit-T seem neater then the ones on my pals Team Ti. Both lovely though.
I cleaned mine up with brillo pads followed by T-Cut. This cleaned it up without making it too shiny.
