1993 Teesdale Brave Warrior Chief

Thats awesome. I love the parts on that bike. That campy off road stuff was so overbuilt. I am getting mine together. It is almost finished. I just need to change out the bottom bracket and get an XTR post and an XTR headset and some nice pedals. I have been experimenting with some different parts so this is not the final product. Here it is:

Got the right headset and I had to reverse the rear rollercam pulleys to get the proper lineup with the cable. I also got the correct bottom bracket and she is almost ready to ride. I will be racing this bike in the vintage class at the 22nd anual keyesville gathering up in the mountains here in California.

Amazing frame and history. And those brakes!!!! Are they as powerless, as I fear? They're certainly beautiful!

Very nice!

You're kidding right? They are rollercams, they are incredibly powerful. They were very popular among trials riders. Lever pull is a bit stiffer than I would like but I am used to disks. Thanks for the compliments! Of all my projects this has been the most challenging and rewarding. My next project may prove tougher. I have a 1930'S mercury I will be turning into a clunker.

Finally got it all dialed in and took it for its first ride on dirt. It is very solid, quick, turns and stops on a dime. It climbs better than any bike I own. I snapped some shots before the ride because it will never be this clean again.

I am actually going to race it at the Keyesville MTB gathering later this month in the vintage class. My wife thinks I am crazy. There will be plenty of pics from that event.
