Was planning to bring mrs ER but she is a bit apprehensive about this red run. How technical is it? She will be on a retro-ish full susser and she copes with Llandegla blue run easily.
Tell Mrs E_R not to worry in the slightest. This route has been especially chosen for a fully ridable start to the year event. All the rough bits have alternatives and i promise we go no faster than the slowest person. This is the first National Retrobike event the NWA have hosted and we are very keen that everyone enjoys the ride and wants to come again.

Dr S it would be great to have a NE and Yorks contingent at Gisburn. If youneed any help with directions or accomodation, etc. Just drop me or Paul a pm.

Thanks for all the interest so far, looks as though we are on for a cracking turn out and indeed event.

Cheers Mark

Ooooooh.

I'll have to see closer to the time. I may just force my sister to put her birthday on hold... :D

This could be her Birthday treat Sarah ;)

Love Gisburn Forrest, it's where I ride most at the moment. Was up there the other week but didn't get far due to ice. :(

Would love to make the 27th so will check my work rota. Not sure if I'll have my Clockwork project finished by then so if I make it it might have to be on the 5  . I'll try to come and try to get something retro sorted. Be good to put some faces to names. :D

Well that was short lived. Just been informed that we are visiting family 27th/28th so I'm afraid I'm out. Hope to see some of you at the East Mids ride at Ticknall on March 14th. You won't get altitude sickness but we can guarantee mixed terrain.

All the best for the 27th :D

An unexpected free afternoon led to a nice ride around the redeveloped Gisburn Forest. Some really nice trails have been developed. Here's a few pics from the ride.

Was quite tough going in places, so I think 1 lap will be ample for most. But those wanting more can happily carry on.
