Indeed further down the headset looks cooler.

I have no clue how to achive this but did you ask Carsten?
He is not an active member here anymore but he knows an awfull lot about Klein.

My stem goes all the way down on Team Usa, but one other does not go. There is bit too much welding under stem.
 
That is absolutely stunning and my dream bike. One day I shall have one!! The closest I got to one was a Rascal BITD.

Out of all the retro bikes I'd like to own I think the Attitude in that colourway has to be right up there. Love to have one to roll out on a sunny, dusty summers day :D
