I thought they looked strong. What are they like then?

The trouble with direct curve brakes is the springs, they're a bit wussy and they have to be tensioned up strangely because of the differnt arm lengths. They are nice and skinny (nothing to catch up on stuff), not very powerful though (had to go back to an Avid on the front).

Anyway, new drivetrain and a bit of polish. I think it looks stunning now!

The coloured cables are a hangover from my 80's BMX days. There's no way I'm gonna use boring black or grey ones when I can get funky coloured ones... The louder the better, I was going to use the matching pink Jagwire brake cables but the green just looked so much yukkier I had to go with them
