I bought this off daveaasmith, got the forks off ebay, thanks to justbackdated for the advice on them. The wheel wouldn't line up, I thought they were knackered! I'm currently eyeing up a different post for it, think silver may look better and the Alien doesn't seem to like Flites, can't get the saddle nose pointing up enough

I think she's a keeper, but if that changes in the future you can have first refusal. :D

I'd be really impressed if you could get the fork lockout lever to work as a thumbshifter :)

How do the forks ride?- i've got a NOS boxed pair i keep meaning to try out.

Liking the gearing on that, keeps it looking clean :D

Cheers, I usually prefer M950, but she came with the XT on, and I think the silver suits her more. I've never had any Middleburn's before, they're lovely, and I was trying for a mostly British build.

 Yeah, unfortunately it wouldn't pull enough cable to change 9 gears. Would look awesome though. ;)

I like the forks, there's a bit of stiction initially, but after that they're really smooth. Maybe they need a service?
I'm not convinced they've got the correct decals on though. I think they're Airforce 1's, they only have 1 brace and the lockout?

Very nice!

It seems to me that the RC300 has a great following on here, but there just aren't that many around.

Lucky man - a fitting addition to the collection!

I've found a different seatpost for her, I think it looks better and clamps the saddle up better too. The photo hasn't come out well mind...

This is the post, from Wold Ranger, but I swapped the clamp for a gold one
