i dont especially like the look of the Shimano ones and they remind me too much of the cheap versions found on supermarked bikes .
and their name is boring too .
The decent retro ones are cool
The POS ones you see attached to many BSO's are not cool
Unfortunately on sheer volume the BSO numbers outweigh the Decent retro ones and therefore they must be uncool
And before you shout I have used XT thumbies from about 1992 onwards, Gripshift from 95 and RF since 97 so thumbie were definately my first love
Hate the game not the player...
