has anyone had experience in chrome plating a frame?

i had some motorbike bits done a few years ago but wondered if you can do a whole frame?

worked in a place that did electro plating ( chrome / nickel )
and yes it can be done , all depands on the size of your tanks OOOOOEEERRRR :shock:

only thing is they may need to drill holes in any "sealed" tubes to let the chemicals out

the guys that did the bits for mik bike make radiators so that should be ok, i'll look into the hole drilling bit...

one other thing to watch out for is that the threads on the frame will also be coated , bb , brake bosses
only a very thin coating but it will make a difference

dont think you can do aluminium either

no , because the chemicals are kept at a constant temp ??
not sure how high but they let off a lot of steam so would definately melt the plasticene

you can "plug" them with an old BB and some old bolts ?

bonus is you get some "shiny" bolts
