Marin team Ti build, Need help

Hate to hijack the thread, but since you asked :p

Really the best option would be to go back to the original source...

http://www.titaniumsports.com (previously Sadvik's sports dept)

Last I heard they still had the fixture and they do custom orders. They would be best equipped to refashion the Project 2's.

For me to build one or two, the cost would be prohibitive. The raw cost of Grade 9 Ti has skyrocketed, with some distributors asking close to $150 a foot for straight gauge tubing  . The real cost though is in casting replica dropouts. If you were not anal about everything matching perfectly, you could substitute some machined drops from paragon, but you would still be looking at a buttload of cash.

Building the TI P2's would not be tough, simple design, but sourcing original materials would be time and monetarily consuming.

I'd check out TST though, all it costs is the time to send an email inquiry.

cheers,

Rody builds forks as well ;)
Ahh apologies to Rody :) .
I searched around a while ago for someone to make a rigid fork but very few framebuilders seemed to offer them in the UK.

We could definately do it cheaper Jez, just need the retro community to buck up for a run of 100 or so :p

I guess that's why the remaining NOS stuff commands such a price.

keep it groovy!
