1995 Marin Bear Valley (custom build)

another one built for someone else, found NOS frameset on ebay few other cool NOS bits made this little beauty which admittedly is a very similar spec to the Pine Mountain I built last year mainly because when ever I find any parts I like I try to wangle a better deal for buying in bulk so the all important spec list:

I stuck with Black, grey and polished parts I did use a few modern parts such as the tyres and gears but it's classy hey.

Very nice build. The only thing I'd change is the stem.....classy bit of kit though it is, the standard Marin lite item would just suit it better to my eye. I really like the Marins from this era...the frame detailing is great.

I agree - I like 'plain' bikes (black/white/silver). I also prefer amberwall tyres but think the ones you have one this look just right with the zolatone paint.

I do agree about the stem though - it looks too heavy for what is a svelte machine. Looks good though overall - job well done!
