NOS 1992 Kona Explosif from Switzerland

Pretty,
the levers, shifter look really low end... lower then LX to me.
EDIT
oh a picture of the model number ST-M050

Makes it Exage 500LX from 19901/2 era

I also read about the recall of the Track Two forks (though a few weeks ago, don't know where or why I did)

That design of Track Two was the redesign in 1991 (so says the catalogue)

I'll say it's a 1991 Explosif, with parts pinched of it and some other stuff put on in place. (sou wouldn't describe it as NOS, though the frame and most the parts do certainly look like it)

The frame colour though not in the catalogue in 1991 as a choice in the UK is in a picture with the P2 forks on in said catalogue.

you can differ if you want of course :D

I'm glad the shifters close up photo was useful, the model # is really tiny.
I think the track two recall article can be found on that konamuseum website (can't post the link at the moment).
So according to the info coming up on this thread this setup is a mix of parts all available as options for the explosif at the time?
Judging from the state of the bike I'd think this bike wasn't modified after the purchase. Could this be the original configuration built by the shop owner at the time (for reasons unknown?)
The shop I got it from said this was the last of 5 Konas (explosif?) he acquired from another shop in Winterthur where the bikes were sitting unsold since the '90s...
would be nice to know where the other 4 are :)
