Am I right in thinking 700x23 is a clincher?? I dont wanna take my tyre off to check as I have, er, damaged my pump... And IIRC tubs are imperial sized, right? I.e 28 x 23...

Don't know about that actually, be interested to see the answer.

What are the tyres and rims? I maybe able to give you an early heads up before an educated person posts a reply...

I think you have enabled me to solve my own problem, if that makes any sense...

It says 'kevlar' on the side (vittoria something or others in 700 x 23) suggesting a bead, so therefore, clinchers...

Many thanks

(new to this roadbike thing...)

I think the 'kevlar' means the kevlar strip under the tread, rather than the beads.

If it's a tub, there should be the edge of the base tape near the bottom of the sidewall.

Ooh, I see you have added a Colnago Master to your collection. Good choice! :D

I once had a 2000 Master Olympic and it was the best handling road bike I've ever owned. Sadly, it was nicked from my bike shed, along with my restored '55 Gillott.
