For this time it's finish
Later I think about white Panaracer Magic tyres, MT-60 breake levers, two same rims... We'll see what I'll found

excellent restoration...you brought that bike back from the dead :D

I've dilema...
This bike was to be almost oryginal, with full LX M550 group (except thumbs/levers)
Few weeks ago I even found for him "new" wheels in perfect condition (still on LX 550 hubs but both with dark grey Formula rims)...
And then I found this:
deore-set.jpg

1st Deore mechs and thumbs in very good condition, not used so much

So, in Your opinion should I replace them or not?

These would look much better on my 1989 Scott Boulder.

Back in the days i replaced that kit for XT Thumbies, 7-Speed hyperglide and XT Mech and threw the Deore-kit away...

shame on me

As a one of them I know some polish blokes could make amazing things from scrap and this is fine example

scott boulder '91

nice bike at all!

@ skolioza: you've the same boulder frame like me. Do you know the diameter of the seatpost for the '91 boulder frame? I'm not sure if it is 26.2 or 26.4 mm.

@all: if you know, you are invited to answer, too. Of course...

Thanks a lot

not sure of the 91, but the 1990 boulder in this thread is 26.6 (just confirmed via mrs apes' original seatpost, still in place...).
