Seems that this is a roadie set-up. Can I make this work on a mountain bike?

It doesn't look like a road setup. Its got bolt holes for a small chainring.

If it is road (130mm) you can by an FSA conversion chainring and make it 2X9. I've done one thats 42X30 and it works ok.

180mm arms; good for Tall Dudes or SingleSpeeders..

Thanks for the input. Maybe I could fit them to a future ultralight racer. I figure the bike would have to be a featherweight if I've got no granny gear!

And if anybody knows where one could buy replacment (Syncros) chainring bolts drop us a line.
