Ok its not retro and I have no idea about roadbikes

I would like a bike to clock up some miles and is ready to go, Not bothered about it being retro and like the idea of being able to change gear with both hands on the bars

Found this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/coyote-racing-bik ... 35a5db0dc4

Size wise its medium and the chap is same height as me?

Bike wise I cannot find anything on Coyote? :?

Let the slaughter begin!!

Cheers

I cannot get comfortable on it, Great for short rides but seems pretty short on the toptube , leaving the bar end position a killer on the wrists :? Half my problem is I know nothing about roadbikes and correct riding positions :?

Never heard of Coyote, but I remember they were flogging those wheels for under £100 a few years ago. Very heavy.

Think his reserve will be too high.

saddle back and longer stem?

I sold those Coyotes BITD and owned a couple.

Easton Ultralite tubing- light and stiff but very harsh.

That particular model was very short in the TT in some sizes- would be worth checking.

The eBay bike looks ok and good value at present with the Ultegra kit. But it doesn't really stir the blood, therefore will it inspire you to ride?

Road bike fitting is pretty straightforward really - if it looks right then it probably is and then just a few tweaks to get it just so for you.

There are loads of ways to calculate the 'perfect' road bike fit and the following include online calculators - depends on how detailed you want to be in making measurements really

Worth stressing though is yo go with what works for you - as an example, compared to many measurements I ride with my saddle too high but it works fine for me. As a contrast I'd contend that many people ride with a saddle slightly too low (although this may just be my way of convincing myself that I am right).

From a cursory look at the pictures, I'd say that had quite a short top tube for its size. It's done quite a lot of miles, too. I would steer clear unless it's a real bargain.

I'm thinning the herd, so might have something available, and of course as you're a regular it will be something affordable. Could you put up a photo of yourself on the GT?

The drop bars are gone now
