Far from it. I generally sit in most of the way round suffering like a dog....then I get dropped :cry:

Any road bike with lugs is interesting.

I have a road bike as well , but it is retro



My dad bought it for me in 1992 for passing my baccalaureat !

Changed everything on it though , only frame and forks original .

Not light but very rigid .

john how do you size up a road bike frame i was talled 2" over your mtb size frame do you know if thats correct i ride a 19" mtb so if would suggest an 21/22" road bike frame. if it helps i,m 5 10.

Simon,

sounds like a reasonable starting point. For example I'm 6'0" and ride anyhting from a 18"-20" mtb (seat tube c-c) generally with around a 22" or 23" top tube. On the road side I ride anthing from a 56cm - 58 cm (22" - 23" ish) with a similarly long top tube. As ever best thing to do is try them.
If you're 5'10" I'd start by trying 54cm - 56cm.

Remember with a road bike it's top tube that matters more than seat tube - you can have loads of post showing or tight clearance for your nads, but it'll be more important whether you're comfortable and the bike steers well - i.e. a combination of TT and stem.
