Is there such thing as a real bike for children aged 7+. I'd like to get a bike that can be ridden easily by my 7 year old daughter rather than the ten ton tank she has at the mo.

Thanks

The SBC Hotrocks, Trek kids and Ridgeback kids used to be quite light and well built. Bit pricey though

Konas make some really nice kids bikes. The best range of 'real' kids bikes I have seen are from Orbea, nice company attitude too as the employees all own the firm.

Wish I'd seen Islabikes before last xmas, cheaper than the trek mt60 we bought but much better spec'd.

Thanks Yetiman, I'd looked at all the others and although they looked loads better than what she has, the Islabike seams to be exactly what I have been looking for.

Thanks all for your help.

Actually don't rule out the Scott 20" bikes too. I got a cracker from the 'bay, guy selling off virtually unused stock from a failed hire business.
