not too worried about mud clearance then...

The clay soil round here would have that clogged up quicker than a clogged up thing thats clogged...

Its sandy trails around here with big rocks and roots sticking out everywhere. I got tired (no pun intended) of ripping out sidewalls, dinging rims and getting pinch flats- even at light XC speeds that its DH tyres all round from now on. I have another set of 2.25 Nobby Nics to try out but the big 2.4 ones are OK.

I like that .

some real pedals are needed though .

I luuurve those pedals- they have had a year of hard use now and the bearings are still super smooth. They grip well, are low profile enough not to get knocked about too much and weigh just over 360 grams a pair. Highly recommended. I certainly wouldn't use spuds, hate them, I'm just too clumsy

That's a fancy Dan build right there.

How do you find the niche bars?

I've only riden it to the pub and back. It was fine on the way out, but i found that they seriously lacked control on the way back.

Looking good ! How are you tensioning that chain though?

Magic gear and a half link in the chain. I have a 16T Surly cog on there in that pic, but the Ti Boone is a 18T which I just take out the half link to run.
