1996 KHS Pro FXT

I'm new to the site, but I am very proud of my bike even though it's old.

I have recently acquired (and fallen in love with) a 1996 KHS Pro FXT for $20. The front Rock Shox Judy XC is from 1998 (has a blown damper cartridge), and the drivetrain is all 1996 Shimano STX (I have saved this groupset for a very long time).

I want to bring this bike back as a the racing bike it was in 1996, with good reason. In 1996 this bike was listed as weighing 25.4 pounds, while my modern incarnation is 30 pounds. If I can put every original component that it had back then, it should work better and be lighter with excellent performance.

MC ... remember I also had one of these BITD, bought after riding yours I think?
You're right though... It's still the best Steel frame I have ridden/raced on.
Would LOVE to have it now!
Just for shits and giggles, and obviously for reminscing.....here's a pic of me canning it at Ashcombe/Woodbury/Newnham? back in 93/4/5?

Cheers!
