Mountain Goat "Golden Goat"

That is very tasty.
Where do you keep getting all these mint condition uber-rare bikes from?

Do you have access to a time machine?

Now where did i put those tissues!!

I'm dribbling, dirty boys!!

The Golden Goat was one of MGs 'mid-range' frames (although of course all realtive ;) ). I'd have though 7 speed XTII would've been perfect!

  1989...hmmm... what exclusive parts were there on the market that were any better than Shimano XT or Suntour XCpro...?

I agree on the XT II components. That's 735 isn't it ?

730 is OK, but isn't that a (few) year(s) to old for the frame if you want to be period correct ?
:D perhaps I'm to much focussed on being period correct for this one...

I hope you keep us updated on this rare and beautiful find.

(In addition to everything else)

I really dig the white American Classic seat binder---don't see too many of the seat QRs and those are my all time favorites.

Wonderful, somehow it takes the hammer effect paint that usually looks like a cheap attempt to hide something nasty and makes it look dead classy.

If you had told me about it I would have balked, but seeing the photos.. Yum!
