kona frame difference

am i right in thinking for a 1997 or 1998 kona that all the steel frames up to the cindercone are the same (same material, same tube thicknesses etc?)

basicly what im asking is - is there any difference between a hanaha, firemountain and lavadome?

any help would be great

In 1997 all the low end steel frames are the same butted steel:

Not that case back in, say, 1992:

Where you can see my Lava Dome uses vastly superior butted tubes to the plain gauge of lesser models

Worth using the Gallery to check the specific year/model you are interested in.
