I'm in IT, I work for a Foreign Exchange company in Sydney.. It's a medium sized Business with about 40 people in our Sydney Office [we have a London Office too with about 20 people there].. The IT Dept is pretty small [4 of us], two Sys Guys and two Programmers [myself and a Junior] so it's quite an informal atmosphere..

My mate the Network Admin guy just informed me that the 6th Most Accessed Site Company Wide is, yep you guessed it, RetroBike.co.uk

He sent me a screengrab of the Stats, for the sake of security I've blurred out all info save the most pertinent.. The most important figure is the number of users.. I have singlehandedly used significantly more bandwidth than 12 other JetStar visitors [there was a $3 sale this week on Aus. Domestic flights] and the 14 NineMsn website users..

Whilst my mate said he would keep the data quiet, I can't help but feel that my productivity might have suffered..

I'm sure they could do that where I work - I'd love to see the stats - however they're more keen on finding GP's who access porn...

I'm awaiting a little tap on the shoulder from the post room ... I'm sure I keep them pretty busy, too!

I've been told off a few time over www useage/ time on the web. It's just BIG BROTHER & who is watching the watchers? And they should get a proper job like traffic warden or some other helpful job  When i first started work they monitered work phone calls. Now they have moved on to computers. Where next?

Workplace monitoring could go too far. The next logical step is to monitor time in the toilet. The gents rustles to the sound of newspapers every morning. If added up over the year the amount of time lost to the porceline throne would be substantial.

If everyone has a unique fingerprint maybe we all also have a unique backside print. Utilising finger scanning technology it would then be possible to make a toilet seat to scan and identify each user. I'm not sure of the implications of the data storage act for the identification records though!

whilst at my actual place of work i have 7 cctv cameras on me , talk about big brother !!!!!

LOL!

In our ongoing attempts to squeeze more and more pictures of an ever increasing file size through a clearly not big enough pipe, it was suggested that internet useage could be limited to fee up bandwidth.

I pointed out that this scenario would probably lead to mutiny.

I think the key to not being discovered is being 'inside the loop'. Get in with IT or be part of them yourself.

:D

Nice effort King

LOL P20, at home I'm still using a 56k dial up - 'myebay' page takes 8 mins to fully load! That adds quite an edge to evening bidding.

LOL at Wu
So you have to try sniping in advance
We are banned from ebay at work, since someone sold work kit on it  Suprisingly enough they no longer work for us
