NE&YORKS Noggin and Natter

Right then guys and gals. Big changes coming in the next week or so to the area groups project. We are all getting our own sub-forums and will be launching a national series of official events. Announcements will be made by the powers that be shortly, but I can say that us NE&Yorks folk are to put on three National Status Events in 2010. Big Dirty Weekender is one such event so we have two slots left. Another idea being banded about is for a Tribal meet in the peaks in April or May combining the Mids, NW and NE area groups- this is work in progress and I'll let you all know as soon as I know anything. An outline of the plan is in the NW section- have a look.
In the mean time I want to see more traffic in this section- so get your plans posted up and lets get some dialogue going. As one of the pioneering Area Groups alongside those handsome MacRetro types we will be expected to put on a good show- afterall we have had a year of putting on rides and meets already.
Its going to be a great 2010 for getting out and about, but as ever it needs you!

Anyone any info on the December 27th meet at Dalby?

Hi Chris and welcome into the section- it's grown over night!

Run on the 27th will be in and around Dalby. Gil knows all these lovely off piste bits so we will losely base the ride around that.
It's a steady affair- nice leasurely breakfast, shoot the breeze etc before heading out for a few hours at a steady pace, finishing with a mid afternoon finish in the cafe at Low Dalby for steaming mugs of Hot Chocolate and cake. Very social- it's Xmas afterall. A thread will appear over in the rides section next week.

Against the specialist's advice I would love to get to this one,, but I fear I will slow everyone down (No change there then   ) , as I would have to take it really, really easy.. I'll let you know a bit nearer the time.. ;)

Hi folks

Had the hip surgery and now on the road to recovery - time will tell if it has repaired the problem

Contemplating a new project during my downtime (bit like Sithlord and his plans!) and found a frame on Ebay that could be the next one. However, it is in York

If I win it, would one of you lovely fellows be able to get it to me up at Alnwick; I can't drive you see  Obviously I would be indebted to however can help; may even be able to sort out a meet midway if my wife allows it (Got to get around the problem of telling her about Another bike first  )

Cheers in advance
