I reckon the china light got about 2.5 hours use last night, and its just done another half hour duty while I hosed the bike down. Gone onto red but still burning OK.

Helmet mounting does seem a better idea than bar mounting. Where did you get the extension cable from Mat?
 
remember if you mount it on some shoulder strap you won't need the extension - but I guess you'd need a camelbak of some sort for that...

I wonder if it wouldn't go nicely in the cycle jersey back pocket??
 
Considered that. Will give it a go.
Bar mounted it tends to slip round and reduce the beam length, especially on the downhills, just when you want the beam to extend.
 
I'll have a chat with the Bro and find out where he ordered the leads Rob.

Going to give the K2 Razorback a go and see if it fits :? Singlespeeded 16:32 last night and coped so a retroish full suss singlespeed for £50 might be the perfect thing ;)

The frame looks like this...but in much worse condition :cry:

That looks fun :D The cranks look short.
I'm a long way off ss, and beside the fact that my legs wouldn't forgive me, I have a real worry about wrecking my knees.
 
the next 2 weds nights are going to be impossible for me now unfortunately but other nights might be OK - anybody got any ideas? Maybe a Friday night curry ride as proposed on one of the weeks? I'll sort out some dates when I know I am free later today. Nothing stopping you doing Weds anyway if more convenient for you of course :D
 
Definately up for a friday in the next few weeks. Wednesday will probably be tricky for me too. I'll only know on the day whether I can make it.

Looks like another crap weekend for riding, weather wise :roll:

yes i found if you have the avatar you want offsite and link to it, it can be any size (file size that is)

as for the boots they were super my feet were dry and very toasty, only let down slightly as my ankle did get a bit wet (nothing like with my last pair though) and that i'd stood in dog shit somewhere. (irresponsible dog owners really piss me off)

BTW congrats on your title.
 
No boots can gaurd against dog shit, the ultimate curse :evil:

What do all these fancy new titles mean? Is AEC Area Events Co-ordinator and what is a gold trader? Sounds euphamistic to me...
