First 'proper' bike ?

So, what was yours?

After various bits and pieces (Raleigh Burner and Boxer being of most note) I got my first mountain bike in 1990. It was a 1989 21" Raleigh Mirage. Made from Reynolds 501 and kitted out with 18 speed exage county I was chuffed with it for a bit at least.

Peugeot & Lava Dome

My first 'proper' MTB was a Peugeot Caiman. Only in that it looked liked one. Looked quite cool for its day, black frame and stem but neon green forks and bars. Shimano SIS throughout and a lot of unbranded stuff.

My first PROPER MTB was my beloved 1996 Lava Dome. Still have it and it is the only bike I have owned that I haven't changes a thing on.

First 'proper' bike ?
