Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous......

Cheers for that but it is the 1992 traverse i am wanting. Should be getting my brothers old 92 kili this week. :D

Great find again LGF! Nice bike. Keep these Saracens coming people my favourite thread on here!

Here is my ebay bargain NOS '97Protrax frame - 14.99!

Gil did the decals for me.

I am currently building with all modern parts.. but with a retro look to pay homage to the Saracens of the mid/late 90's

Hope to have it finished soon.

Full story in bikes up to '97 section on here.

Cheers,

Chaser.

Anyone know how to decipher a Saracen frame number...?

Nope and nor do they (Saracen) i've already asked...nobody there from BITD....its just a brand name these days

I've got E01 then over-stamped with E02 and underneath 0108 on my Tufftrax Elite :?

Maybe if we all put up our frame numbers with Model and production year we'll find a pattern?

Good plan Batman

19" 1991 Traverse Competition Hydrotech
F1940975
YY?Y?YYY (? is where i'm not 100%)

Well, on my 20 1/2" 89 Tufftrax the serial number is:

T8903
0994

And on my slightly later 22 1/2" 89 Tufftrax it is:

T8906
5978

Suggesting (T for Tufftrax)YYMM for the top line, and just a number for the next.

This breaks down somewhat with the 17" (approx) 96(?) Rufftrax that my son has which is:

AC5K
00000054

Hmmm..... time to get Bletchley Park onto this.

Cheers
Steven
