Not exactly Old School, but I love these.. Been looking for a while for one, and got this NOS

Will look nice on an Orange or Lime Green C16R me thinks ;)

bet its wayyyyy more comfortable than the carbon flite (still don't understand that on a road bike, let alone a MTB  , although they do look cool )

(like the avatar 'orientation' )

Yep, commuted in Central London on one for a coupla years.. That Carbon Flite is going into retirement until after I have kids..

Yes Avatar inversion [X's up arms like Goose in TopGun] inspired by comment by ti-fat-man

Never tried one - I've got one Bontrager Kevlar saddle and it's like a sponge when it rains :?

Are these any better?

I haven't used anything else for years so wouldn't know about the bontrager. It rains by the truckload here and I haven't noticed that the SDG gets particularly waterlogged.

Picked up this badger, and i'm quite pleased. Semi retro as stamped Sep '99...

Mine's an X-Lite Kevlar/Ti 'Pilot Support System' (PSS). Light as an original Flite and pretty much as comfy too, looks very similar in profile also.

SDG are still making comfy saddles today.

I got one too. :) Got it with a high-end bike (XTR 950, Syncros Revolution, Ringle) and it is in great condition. Produced in July, 1995. How do they compare to the classic Flite Ti in terms of quality, comfort and value?
