Petitioning the coolwall

Don't Precision Billet shifters count as Gripshift, in which case very cool!

Had a set of the first cork covered ones and they were evil; couldn't shift in the wet, if you braked too hard you shifted, if you went over a pothole you shifted, if you shifted you very rarely shifted, BUT they did look very cool and I got the most amazing number of jealous looks from my schoolmates when I had mine, and that alone says cool to me.

Personally I think that the Campag ones were one of the coolest items ever even though they were the worst designed product in the world, however the Sachs ones which worked very well were dull, dull, dull (unless they were the ones in the Ritchey 2 x 9 kit)

My head hurts

Spec'd all my bike with twistshifters. Those newer OEM ones with a window are uncool, but X-rays, Attacks and the lot are very, very cool.

I never used early Grip shifts and actually went from thumbies to XO's.
From one all time classic to the next.
XO's are UBER-COOL and work fantastic. They have outlasted one bike and are on to another....just like my thumbies.
