Puch seat post

puch

Retro Newbie
Hi! I just picked up this old Puch Pursuit from ebay :D

The bracket that holds the seat on is fairly mangled, so I was going to get a modern post with the bracket integrated at the top. The post seems to be 25mm, just wondered if that was typical for a mid-80s European bike.. I don't have the tools to do an exact measurement

Any help appreciated :D

There are plenty of 25mm posts around. Try CRC or you local bike shop...

While you are at it, look for some brake levers. Those ones with the extra bars for operation from the tops weren't called suicide levers without good cause...

will do, brakes next on the list after tyres. Trying to make this one solid enough for 100 mile weekly commute  Would a bike shop have a venier caliper to measure the seat post diameter do you think?
