UPDATE: My car stolen... :-(

Not wishing to seem to want to profit from someone else's loss, but it just so happens that I'm about to sell my 900 T16s, looking for about £450 if you might be interested. There is a picture on the retro transport thread. If you want more info probably best you PM me.

Is that the silver one? Nice...however I need 4 doors unfortunately these days. I'd have loved it otherwise...

Managed to line myself up a newer 9000 already though, P-reg 2.3 in black £800. So every cloud has a silver lining!

Re. insurance, of course you're right, however I'm not even going to bother claiming anyway as they'd only give me market value if that, say £500 at very most, of which £150 is excess leaves me with £350, then take off extra premium next year because I've lost no claims bonus, leaves me with £200, say, by then if the car ever turns up, if it's in a reasonable state the Saab specialists down the road would take it off me for £200 anyway for parts as they have done in the past... so just not worth it in the end. Even if it doesn't turn up I just don't need the grief I'd rather cut my losses. I bought it for £1000 3 years ago thinking it may last a year, it last 3 times as long. If it had been the engine that died yesterday I would have said fair enough I'll get another car. It's just annoying there was plenty of life left in it, the engine was fine.

Hey Ed, sorry to hear about your car buddy - no doubt it'll be seen on teh next series of "Road Wars"!

already over it... got the new one to look forward to!

ah but hang on...it's turned up... apparently it's got a flat front tyre so may have been bashed against the kerb. It's in a police compound locally (and for the pleasure of releasing it I have to find about £200!!!!!!!!).

question is, should I still go ahead with buying the new one or risk keeping the old one given that a) who knows what damage has been done to the undercarriage b) it's obviously been raced c) they may still have the spare key that they stole it with and pass it on to mates to have a go themselves at a later date ("here, free taxi"[tosses keys to mate in hoodie])

Get it back and wire it up to the local high voltage grid. That'll learn 'em.

Or, more sensibly - get it back, change the locks and tell your wife that as she's got of flightly, you only need ONE new bike.

Now it is on Saabs: Today I picked up my FullPro-L. When I arrived at the seller's house I gave him a call, as he would be at his work about 5 minutes away. Several minutes later I saw a car approaching in my rear mirror. It was a very nice 900 Turbo 16. Turns out the guy is a Saab dude too. His car was black with the Aero kit. According to him the car was a joy to ride with its very satisfactory performance of 220hp. Of course I were wondering why his car delivered 220hp. His car was imported from France and overthere such a model was carried in the regular line up. No modifications made.

We talked a 30 min about our cars ...but I didn't forget to buy his bike
