I can't say I have much info on them, as I was looking for that as well, but I do have one:

I have heard that more, being made by Gitane. For me, the name and the classic lines were the most important reason to pick it up (and maybe rarety). The touring bike frame mine has is of very doubtfull quality, looking for instance at the brazing of the lugs.
Anyway, please show us some pics when you have them.

there appear to be a fair few of these out here in sw france..i picked a red one out of the tip last year..the lugwork is of quite a poor quality on the 1st one..this new one is in somewhat better condition,and is very light i will post some pics when i get back to the uk on tuesday..
