How to identify a zaskar

not if it's a made in the USA Zaskar. Most of the Taiwan built bikes and the later year Taiwan built Zaskars have the serial number on the bottom bracket. I even communicated that with the seller of the bike posted above days ago right after the listing went up

With that serial number and the flat top tube end cap it has to be 1991 Zaskar built in April. U-brakes only ran through the 92 model year on that size frame. The 1992 Pantera was the only other GT that had a flat top tube end cap but it was also stamped 7005 and had a serial number under the bottom bracket that started with an H meaning it was built at Taiwan Hodaka.
