XC Pro crank US$470? WTF?

Obviously the crank caps that did it!

That's just mad - I can just about understand paying a mint for Cooks or those Ti cranks that are handmade and rare, but a Japanese, mass produced, forged and rather dull crank - mad!

Second on that! Unbelieveable!
I paid for my similar NOS crankset (albeit without the wrong Campagnolo crank caps!) $200 and I thought that was too much already...

I sold a complete rockhopper (with 1 of these cranks) for £100 summer just gone. Ed if you're reading track that sucka down!

I bought a pair of these from Evans in 2000 for £25 with two sets of rings. It must be the campag crank bolt covers that push the price up.

I've got some used ones available for $100 if that helps!

Mike, sadly the Rockhopper has moved on to a colleague, my wife simply wasn't going to ride it. It's getting regular use on bridleways/old railway lines so at least it has gone to a good home.
