Fuquay 'Superfly'

Mike

Retro Guru
Here's my first project, a Fuquay framed cyclocross bike. I've sourced nearly all the parts from RetroBike, so if you recognise anything, thanks. In fact, the only new things on it are the cables and bar tape! I've just taken it out for a first ride and it feels great. Because I don't know the real name for this frame I've christened it the 'Superfly'

Man, that looks great.

You're a braver man than me riding on those forks though, did you sort the dropouts?

I've left the dropouts as they are. More stupidity than bravery though!

Nice bike, NICE build.

But do reverse the front skewer!

Oh no, when I get to the jumps and have to chuck it on my right shoulder I want as little as possible on the left side of the bike, just in case.

First Race Pics

Had my first 'Cross race today and the bike and I didn't disgrace ourselves. I think we finished 23rd out of 59. Anyway, here are some action pics...

Quite a fun day out although I'm not sure how long the bike will last as it's a very punishing discipline.
