1993 GT RTS Team..

theres no Chrome involved.... its polished aluminium...

so to do that it cost about £8 for the wet and dry paper and £5 for the autosol metal polish... and lots of my own elbow grease..

great job....be careful with a fork more than 80mm travel though as that was the standard long travel when that frame was made. Unless you can find a low axle to crown 100mm fork it's going to chopper your ride.

it feels fine to ride with the 100mm bombers on :D not choppery at all :)

though i am going to try it with the 80mm judy DH's ive almost finished modding in the next couple of weeks when i order some grease to give them a final service...

tried it with the 80mm judy's tonight... and MUCH prefer it with the Bombers..

both in looks and how it alters the geometry..

You have inspired me!!!! I found a 1994 GT RTS-1 in fair condition here locally and bought it for $100. I can only hope to fix her up as nicely as you have! I will post pics soon.
