Clip headsets

I've got no idea what a clip headset is.

I tried typing that into google and I only got bluetooth headset clips !!

I'm sure no Retrobike readers wear one of those !!!

If it's just a good value quality 1" threaded headset you're after, Miche Primatos are still available in shops for about £20 and look v.nice.
 
Nope. the top nut isn't threaded. It drops down and is tightened in place with a nut. Almost identical to an ahead but 60 years or more earlier. I tried google as well
 
Right, I know the sort of thing (I think I replaced the bearings in one fitted to a '40s tandem once).

I'm sure someone out there will know - good luck.
 
Try HEADCLIP

The best source is probably cycle jumbles or 'Hard to Find', a specialist in old bike parts.

The CTC forum is also a good place to ask for one. There are plenty of old geezers there who probably have several in their sheds. :D
