£500 budget: What's the coolest looking bike I can buy? (UK)

Thanks John. :)

The Pashley being a quality bike is still top of the list but my scheming brain tells me that a smaller cuter looking bike has the added bonus of being a girl-magnet! Everyone likes stylish bicycles (is there a name to describe the genre of cool-looking classic/vintage/retro/cruiser bikes?) and there's no harm in making mine a crowd puller.

I'd happily spend more money but I'm trying to save money for my first real holiday in .. umm.. hmmm. 1990?
Japan isn't the cheapest destination. :(

Nirve is exactly the same as Felt .

There used to be a shop in Exeter selling chopper bicycles; that was years ago

Sounds like Kitch U Like , I think it was near the porn shop that was next to the bmx shop .

Ah, you've been to Exeter then.
It was further up, all I can really remember is a big shiny custom bike in the window - must have been 5 years ago; the shop may be gone by now. But at least there are still two sex shops in Exeter. :)

There's the Bike Shed nearby but I don't think they've ever stocked anything like what I'm looking for. Might be worth a look next time I go to Exeter though.

Much as I like the Pashleys, I think they're not half as good as 1950s roadsters, and you can get an immaculate one for £300.

Definitely the way I'd go.

I know it is above your budget but the pashley guvnor is really nice - Edin Bike coop had a couple in their summer sale for £500 - might be worth looking at their January sale to see if they do it again.
