I was lucky enough to be guided round Afan (which I have only been to once - briefly) by the man that pretty much built most of the trails there on Sat - Thanks Russell if you are about.

But I did swear that after last time I'd not be going on a high back/ low front 120mm 0 deg stem'd old fashioned xc race machine...

...and I ignored my own advice and paid for it. Bloody hell it was difficult, pitching over the bars all the time. Actually that was rather easy, it was getting on again that was difficult.

Great day though. And who did i bump into? Mr Hilts! (I think he spotted the Retrobike sticker on the frame first. ) LOL.

What did you get up to this sunny w/e?

Have to say that i felt for you and the merlin, having ridden a full susser for the first ever time i was thinking on a few of the descents that i was very wise not to bring the fully rigid explosif...

Sorry I couldn't chat for long but the pizza was calling and we were on a bit of a schedule in order to get up to the merida..

All good training for the MM though, come on the Pee Wee's ..

(I have posted on the meets forum about my training ride and our encounter.)
