Funny thing is you often see a whole bunch of votes going in around midnight on the last night - maybe we are all so used to sniper bidding on ebay that we're now doing it on BOTM?

Quite a high voting month as well, so some guys who don't normally vote obviously excited enough by those two odd bikes to log in!

My vote went to the Puch, not sure why but it sums up period correct 1980s euro bike to me :D

I was the 39th person to vote for the Miyata, quite late on. I broke my personal rule, because I wouldn't want to own it, and if I did I would never dare ride it. On my usual principle, the Dean Colonel should have got my vote, but the Miyata seemed to me to be clearly the 'best' retro bike.

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that the 40th vote for the Miyata came after midnight, but John has effectively allowed that vote by ruling it a tie. Who knows, in some parts of the world, maybe it wasn't midnight yet? Anyway Defiant is happy, as he should be as he is still a BOTM winner, so it would be good if both bikes were winners. Such different bikes, but both such good bikes.

As per tradition the poll ends when the Grandfather clock strikes midnight here at Retrobike HQ. Which is nestled deep in the Warwickshire Alps.

Indeed, it does not automatically update for BST. However you can update your profile to add an hour as necessary - it only took me 4 years to figure this out.
